The Origin of Piniapat

Nestled in Kampung Dingai, Pitas, Bukit Piniapat is more than just a scenic vista. In the indigenous Kimaragang language, the word "Piniapat" translates to "divided into four."

Legend dictates that this lush expanse of land was historically passed down and divided equally among four ancestral sisters. Today, it stands as a preserved eco-tourism site managed by D'Sky Enterprise, sharing the heritage and natural beauty of Sabah with the world.

    Safety First & Trail Policies

    • Mandatory check-in and check-out logs at the info counter before and after your hike.
    • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Hiking for children under 3 is strictly not recommended.
    • Health Advisory: Visitors with severe heart or respiratory conditions should avoid the steep jungle trek.
    • Leave No Trace — all trash must be brought down. Stay on designated tracks to preserve the natural flora.
    • Campers must book at least 3 days in advance (emergency walkie-talkie provided).
